Editorial Policy

Last updated: April 2026

NAD Health Guide is committed to publishing accurate, evidence-based health and longevity information. This page details our editorial standards, sourcing requirements, and fact-checking process.

Source Hierarchy

We rank sources by evidence quality. From strongest to weakest:

  1. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses of human randomized controlled trials (RCTs)
  2. Large, multi-center RCTs published in peer-reviewed journals
  3. Smaller RCTs and clinical trials with documented methodology
  4. Observational studies (cohort, case-control) with appropriate controls
  5. Mechanistic and animal studies — clearly labeled as preliminary evidence
  6. Guidelines from authoritative bodies — NIH, FDA, WHO, Cochrane, etc.

Press releases, supplement company claims, and anecdotal reports are not considered sources.

Fact-Checking Process

  • Every claim involving a specific mechanism, dosage, or clinical outcome is verified against the primary source
  • Dosages cited in articles match those used in referenced clinical trials, with ranges where applicable
  • Safety information is cross-referenced against FDA adverse event databases and systematic reviews
  • Drug interaction warnings are verified against DrugBank, Lexicomp, or equivalent references

Content Updates

We periodically review and update articles as new research is published. When significant new evidence emerges — particularly evidence that contradicts previous conclusions — we update relevant articles and note the change.

Corrections Policy

If we publish an error, we correct it transparently. Material corrections are noted at the top or bottom of the affected article with the date of correction. Minor edits (typos, formatting) are made silently.

To report a potential error, please contact us. We investigate all good-faith reports.

Conflicts of Interest

NAD Health Guide is reader-supported. We may earn affiliate commissions from qualifying purchases through product links, at no additional cost to readers. These relationships are disclosed in our Disclaimer.

Commercial relationships do not influence editorial decisions. We do not accept sponsored posts, paid placements, or compensation from supplement manufacturers for favorable coverage. We do not publish content pre-approved by product sponsors.

AI-Assisted Research Disclosure

Our editorial workflow uses AI tools for literature summarization and initial drafting. Every article is reviewed by a human editor who verifies claims against cited sources before publication. AI does not make editorial or factual judgments independently. We believe transparency about modern publishing workflows is more responsible than concealing them.

Medical Boundaries

NAD Health Guide does not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, or replace professional healthcare. Our content is educational and informational. Readers should always consult qualified healthcare providers for personal medical decisions.

We do not publish content that makes unapproved therapeutic claims (e.g., claiming a supplement cures, treats, or prevents a specific disease) unless such claims are supported by regulatory approval from a competent authority (FDA, EMA, etc.).
